I came to the field of Chiropractic after experiencing the benefits of manual medicine through various modalities such as Osteopathy, Massage and Chiropractic. As a kid, I had sustained multiple injuries during gymnastics and horseback riding. While each modality provided some relief, much of the pain would return or I was told to "not do x" anymore. It wasn't until a particular chiropractor took the time to educate me on how my posture was contributing to my then chronic headaches and she utilized specific adjustments and exercises that made a lasting difference in my hip and low back pain as well. That was the last time I saw a chiropractor that did the same thing on every visit, no matter where I was having issues.
I have experienced the best in the field as well as the not-so-best and I understand the hesitation and fear that many patients bring, especially when they feel as if they are not being listened to. I decided to enter this field to offer something different. I recognize my patients as unique individuals and take a whole health approach to Chiropractic care. I see only one patient at a time and tailor a treatment plan to fit your specific needs. My primary objectives are to restore function, reduce pain, and educate each patient in the process of becoming active participants in their own health and wellness. I do this by combining a variety of gentle chiropractic techniques with massage, physical therapies and exercise to promote healing and increase recovery times.
